Room 9's Amazing Matariki Artworks!!

Today the fabulous artists from Room 9 shared their Matariki Artworks at our whole school assembly.  Click on the clip below to see the beautiful artworks!

Peter
We have been learning about Matariki.

Maddison
Matariki is a group of 7 stars in the sky.  It tells us that it is the Māori New Year.

Sam
If you see the stars clearly, it will be a good year for the garden.  If you cant see the stars clearly its going to a bad year for growing vegetables.

Olive
We made Matariki pictures.  We used paper, crayons, dye, and glitter.

Sanjok
First we dyed the paper, then we added glitter stars.

Kyle
We made mountains out of black paper, we drew Korus on our mountains.

Jazmine
Then we made a glitter boarder for our pictures.

Mustafa

We hope you like them.
